Rolex has remained true to its line in this model and has installed an in -house quartz plant in Oysterquartz. Experts consider the Rolex quartzwerk to be one of the best that has ever been built with a battery.

The housing differs visually from the classic Rolex housings, even if the classic features of a Rolex like a (solid) bezel, a screwed housing floor and a screwed crown for optimal waterproofness are not missing. The bracelet is also an oyster tape with folding clasp, which was also completely revised and was visually more integrated into the angular and heavily chamfered housing.
